A Pilgrim’s Way
Making Through the Eastern Gate, we wanted to include Eastern Christianity. We had already shot 12 hours of footage when we realized that it wasn’t aligned for the Christian monks to be in a film with other religions. Still I was particularly touched by our contact with them, so we decided to make a film just about my experience with the Orthodox Christian community in Romania. I myself was baptized Orthodox in 2002 and so this is a special, personal journey for me to get in touch with my connection with God and Jesus.
